90s Comics Transition to Digital

Do we have a thread going about what sort of “restoration” is needed for that early digital period? (As opposed to all the threads about restoring Golden and Silver Age stuff.) My understanding is it’s a compatibility thing. Kind of like trying to get computer games designed for EAX to sound exactly the same post-Windows Vista, or games designed for some of those old MIDI-type sound boards to sound exactly the same on any modern computer. You can get the games to run, and there’s sound, it’s just not quite the same. So, they can get the old digital comics files to open, but they don’t quite behave the same on modern computers. But honestly, I’ve seen so little about this anywhere. It’s been brought up in other threads, but I don’t think we’ve actually got a dedicated thread.
