So, I always keep omnibus in shrinkwrap until I’m ready to read and will then crack open and brodart the book before I do.
This has always made sense to me since they retain more value in case I come to sell. I have previously sold omnis without reading them, typically vols 2+ which I bought before I’ve read the first.
I’ve always been aware, and accepting, of the downside of possible production errors not being found while still in print but from comments elsewhere in the forum I see some suggestions that the paper can be affected from long-term (how long?) shrink wrapping.
Curious as to what others do?
