I figured instead of using the IST thread to discuss general shipping and customer service issues, it would be useful to have a dedicated shipping thread.
To begin: Boy, did I have a bad day today! Three books scheduled to arrive. One, they sent the wrong book (Batman B&W Vol. 1 instead of Batman B&W Omnibus!). One, it didn't include the dust jacket, and the listing didn't say anything about it being missing. And the third one (FedEx) got stuck in Kansas City and didn't make it to town in time to be delivered.
Fortunately, the first two were both through the Amazon Marketplace, so returns are almost painfully easy (just put it back in the packaging, print out and slap on a return label, and put it in the outgoing packages closet of my building's package room). (When I move later this year, that package room is one thing I will miss about this building!)
